Abstract

Monthly drought data for Australia 1890-2008 using the Hutchinson Drought Index. The algorithm used to calculate the drought index using the Hutchinson method implemented as SQL and PostGIS is stored in the Github repository at https://github.com/swish-climate-impact-assessment/DROUGHT-BOM-GRIDS. (A new version implemented in R code is available in the https://github.com/ivanhanigan/HutchinsonDroughtIndex package).
