The overarching aim of the Air Pollution, Traffic Exposures and Mortality and Morbidity in Older Australians (APTEMA) Study is to investigate the association between long-term exposure to air pollution and adverse health outcomes in older Australians.

| A secondary aim is to investigate the associations between environmental factors, other than air pollution, (for example, ambient noise, greenspace, land use patterns, climate) and adverse health outcomes and health behaviours in older Australians.
