Abstract
|
Modelled estimates of persons (count and percentage) with private health insurance, various disability and assistance requirements, carer status, and long-term health conditions at national, state, GCC, SA2 to SA4 regions and LGAs. These estimates are part of the 2011-2024 ‘Data by Region’ data product.
Estimates are based on random effects logistic regression models fitted to data from the 2018 Survey of Disability, Ageing and Carers, 2016 Australian Census of Population and Housing, 2018 Estimated Resident Population, as well as aggregated administrative data. Data presented as modelled count and percentage of:
- Persons with private health insurance
- Persons with disability
- Persons with profound or severe core activity limitation
- Persons with moderate or mild core activity limitation
- Persons who are carers
- Persons aged 15 or over who are primary carers
- Persons who are non-primary carers
- Persons with disability aged 15 years and over who need assistance or have difficulty with household chores, meal preparation or property maintenance (accommodation support)
- Persons with disability who need assistance or have difficulty with personal/health care
- Persons with disability aged 16 years and over who need assistance or have difficulty with private transport
- Persons with disability aged 0-64 years whose need for assistance with core activities is fully met
- Persons with disability aged 0-64 years whose need for assistance with core activities is partly met or not met at all
- Persons with long-term health conditions - arthritis, asthma, cancer, dementia, diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, lung condition, mental health condition, stroke, other, none
