Overview

Data repository

CARDAT holds data at varying levels of restriction and access, ranging from publicly available, Creative Commons-licensed datasets to commercial datasets restricted to named users.

Data is broadly divided into three categories:

  • Environment General: CARDAT datasets that do not require particular permission from the data owner for access and is open to all Centre for Safe Air (CSA) members. Those outside of CSA may be granted access if nominated by a Chief or Associate Investigator.
  • Restricted datasets: CARDAT datasets that cannot be widely shared due to licence conditions. Generally permission must be given on a case-by-case basis. Other requirements may be set by the data owner.
  • Public datasets: CARDAT datasets, including the National Air Pollution Monitor Database (NAPMD), that are open to academics and students for legitimate non-commercial research purposes.

Access requests may be submitted through the Data Access Request Form.
