Infrastructure
CARDAT maintains a collection of infrastructure assets to support air quality and health research. Where possible, data and software adheres to the FAIR principles - Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable. Data and software are shared through the following systems:
- Cloud CARDAT, a cloud-based data storage system
- PostGIS_CAR, a PostgreSQL database with PostGIS extension storing a subset of geospatial data
- CARDAT GitHub repository, a collection of software, such as code tools, R packages, and scientific workflows, plus documentation through GitHub pages
- CoESRA platform, a cloud-based virtual desktop service provided by TERN, which holds a subset of the CARDAT repository and provides a space for researchers to perform data analyses.
The data and software assets held by CARDAT are catalogued in the CARDAT Data Inventory, in addition to potential datasets and tools of interest held elsewhere.
