National Air Pollution Monitoring Database

The National Air Pollution Monitoring Database is a collation of data in standardised format from air pollution monitors deployed by the state and territory governments of Australia. A full description of the coverage, access conditions and user guides can be found on the CARDAT GitHub.

Total and Bushfire-specific PM2.5

The Total and Bushfire-specific PM2.5 is a modelled surface of PM2.5 concentrations across Australia on a 5km grid. Estimates cover years 2001 to 2020 in the initial release with an additional update covering 2020 to 2023. A full description of the datasets, data sharing policy and user guide can be found on the CARDAT GitHub.

AIHW Disaggregated Mortality

The AIHW_Summarised_cause_of_death_2000_2019_disaggregated_version_2 dataset contains a series of cause of death mortality counts for selected ABS spatial units. Causes of death include all-cause, respiratory, cardiovascular and renal diseases. Access is restricted. Further information may be found in the CARDAT data inventory.

This R package is a helper for users of the NAPMD to retrieve data through the NAPMD API. This package is stored in the CARDAT GitHub repository along with instructions for installation and use.

The air-health-targets-sws workflow is a health impact assessment case study stored on the GitHub Repository. The workflow is designed to be run with publicly available data but can be easily adapted to other data sources for exposure and health inputs.
