7.2 Air Quality Legislation

The National Environment Protection (Ambient Air Quality) Measure (NEPM) sets out air pollution concentration standards and averaging periods.

The National Environment Protection Council (NEPC) reported annually on operations and effectiveness of NEPMs, compiled from the various states and territories. These reports may be found at https://www.nepc.gov.au/publications/annual-reports.

NEPM compliance reports are published by states and territories on individual jurisdictional websites (to varying degrees of completeness):
